BROOKLYN, NY - Donna A. Santarsiero, Executive Director, Brooklyn Bureau of Community Service (BBCS), welcomed Wallace P. Parker, Jr., President, KeySpan Energy Delivery, Inc., and Chairman of the Board, BBCS, to the Bureau's main Schermerhorn Street facility recently, taking the opportunity to thank Mr. Parker for KeySpan Energy's generous donation of 12 computers and a maintenance van to the agency. The computers are a much-needed addition to the new computer lab used by BBCS's various employment programs, while the van has already logged many miles shuttling between the Bureau's 20 locations throughout Brooklyn.
"We are enormously grateful to Wally Parker and KeySpan for their support of the Bureau and its mission to help children, families and adults with disabilities realize their full potential," said Ms. Santarsiero. "These computers have had a positive impact on skill development, confidence and self-esteem for our clients, many of whom are having their first experience with the technology. KeySpan's gift helps support our goal of assisting individuals to achieve their highest level of independent functioning."
